The Bicycle Center of Seattle has been open since 1969, and although I experienced it only recently, I imagine that it has not changed very much since those days. The bicycles are of course new (they have used bikes too) and this is actually one of the best electric bicycle shops in Seattle, but the atmosphere and service is decidedly old-school. A real breath of fresh air, in this age of quick sales (and no service) oriented super-stores and arrogant hipster staffed specialty shops.
